About Jen McCoy

Early on as a child I knew horses would always be a part of my life. I am blessed to share that passion with others.

My mission is to utilize horses in a safe, fun and natural environment while reaching every rider's current and future goals. I bring into the arena more than 30 years of experience owning horses and more than 20 years of teaching in various settings.

I am a Certified SpiritHorse Instructor, CPR/first aid certified and have assisted with riders of all ages and abilities.

My experience in and out of the arena is full of epic stories of riders exceeding their goals.

I would be honored to assist you in your riding goals and together we can create your epic story!

Services

Lessons can be tailored to the needs of each rider lasting either 30 or 60 minutes and can include grooming and saddling time. Riders attend lessons once a week all year long to stay engaged and keep improving.

The opportunity to compete at local horse shows is also available for riders who wish to show off their skills.

Private Lessons

Let's work together to achieve your goals. Lesson times vary between 30 to 60 minutes depending on the rider's needs and goals. Our seasoned and gentle horses are ready to assist riders of any ability. Lessons take place in our arena and round pen. But it's not all work and no play.....our students enjoy riding in the pasture as well going down the road or venturing to the nearby park.

Semi-Private Lessons

Riding with a friend or family member creates memories that last a lifetime. Lessons can be 30 or 60 minutes, these sessions can be for riders at the same level or for those just wanting to have fun together.

For us a horse is not just a horse, they are our partners.

Below is a short bio for each of our beloved equines.

Once you ride with us, we know you'll agree that they are EPIC!

Cowboy, 21 yr old Paint gelding who rides English and Western. He loves to be dirty but will glitz it up for a horse show. Cowboy has won countless ribbons and high point awards at shows, his favorite event is Trail class. His favorite treat is Winnies Cookies and his best buddy is Hamlet.

Vinny, 21 yr old dark bay gelding, who is a student- owned horse and we are blessed to have him in our herd for lessons. Vinny is a diligent learner, on his agenda lately is tackling English riding. He enjoys pasture rides and swimming in the pond on hot days.

Jewel, 10 yr old bay Quarter horse mare whose grandpa is in the hall of fame. This girl excells in the ranch horse classes and has traveled extensively through TX and OK competing. Jewel has the softest coat at the barn and enjoys being groomed. This sweet girl loves hugs from her students.

Midnight, 32 yr old black Quarter horse mare who is perfect for bareback rides! She loves to ride down the road and around the park. Her favorite treat is carrot pulp and she enjoys being in her stall....waiting for her next meal. She is the perfect horse for tiny riders and those who want a smooth ride.

Epic Equine Show Team

For riders who desire to take their skills into competition, we offer a horse show team for both virtual shows and travel shows.

They compete in various classes on the ground as well as riding events. Our riders work hard with their equine partner to learn patterns and perfect their skills. We are so proud to coach them as they consistently win ribbons in their classes as well as daily high point awards.

Virtual shows offer ALL of our riders the chance to show their skills in the comfort of our home arena. Our most advanced riders travel in the spring and fall locally in the DFW area.
